Designers Marianne Kemp and Inge Simonis are presenting a new serie; The curtainholder, an antique object, one that holds up a curtain in an elegant way. With the combination of horsehair and porcelain, the designers found a new shape for this old utility and transformed it with a contemporary look.
De curtainholders characterize themselves by the robust tails of horsehair, that are gracefully hold together with a finishing of porcelain. The small bundels of tails are attached to luxurious leather cords, that holds the curtain as a necklace. Each curtainholder is produced completely by the designers and only natural materials, like porcelain, horsehair and leather are used.
